We were contacted about two senior dogs in desperate need of help after their owner passed away. These sweet souls—one a 13-year-old Poodle and the other a 10-year-old Maltese—have suddenly lost everything they’ve ever known. Both dogs are in poor condition, especially when it comes to their eyes. One has been suffering from a painful ulcer, and the other appears blind; both urgently need to see an eye specialist. There are additional medical concerns as well, but this is the most immediate and critical step in getting them the care they desperately need. Sadly, no family members were able to take them in. They were on the brink of being left with nowhere to go, abandoned and alone. We simply couldn’t turn our backs on them.
