(Español abajo) Nick and David came to Maryland from Colombia with their families about three years ago, seeking greater opportunities and a safer life. They went through the asylum process to secure work permits and proper documents, and both worked to support their families.

Nick, David, and a family friend were all kidnapped by federal agents while they, their wives, and three children were on their way to a pumpkin patch for the day. The women and their three young children were forced to stay in their cars and watch the abduction unfold.

Nick's wife says she feels disoriented and out of place, and they are trying to figure out what to do next. She’s worried about her children and how to keep a roof over their heads. She and Nick sacrificed a lot to be here in the US and work toward their dreams, and she doesn’t want to let that go.

She and David’s wife are seeking emergency financial support to hire a lawyer and to continue to make rent payments on a lease that doesn’t end until March 2026.
