My name is Pat Kellen and my son, Nick, is in dire need. He has 3 kids and no job.

The future was looking bright for Nick and Kristy. Kristy brought her young son, Jaxon, to the relationship and, over time, Jaxon began to call Nick “Dad”. That was a result of all the love and affection that he received from Nick.

Then came two significant events: the pandemic and an unplanned TWIN pregnancy.

1. Both, Nick and Kristy lost their jobs as a direct result of COVID 19.  Kristy was in management where she worked and Nick had just completed a successful year at a great job with a promising future. 

2.  TWIN pregnancy!!  The beautiful boys were six weeks early and are, at the time of this writing, still in the NICU. They are doing well and expected to come home soon.

Unfortunately, Kristy  will not be able to return to work anytime soon. Nick has been submitting employment applications but nothing has materialized yet. He is working very hard to find employment.

My husband and I have been helping out where we can but we are retired and on a fixed income. We also lost income as a result of this pandemic. We vacillate between ecstatic joy over the babies and extreme anxiety over their family’s  financial situation.
