Jake Alexander Kleppen was your average happy, loving, and caring 8 year old brother until he walked into his pediatrician's office September 13, 2019. He went in for a check up and didn't come home. He was sent straight to the hospital and within days he was diagnosed with a stage 3 cancerous tumor called Rhabdomyosarcoma. This type of cancer arises in the soft tissue. Jake's journey to healing will be physically excruciating as his body begins to heal. He will require about a year of Chemotherapy and Radiation, followed by 6 months of maintenence therapy. 
His mom, Marisel Jarrin Kleppen, will naturally be by his side during this entire process. She will miss the better part of this school year, as she is a fifth grade teacher loved by her students, parents, and colleagues. This will be financially draining as mom's expenses begin to mount due to Jake's treatments and she is unable to work.
