Support for My Sister During Her Battle with Leukemia
My sister was recently diagnosed with leukemia. She’s currently going through chemo and, as you can imagine, it’s been incredibly difficult—physically, emotionally, and financially. She works part-time and unfortunately doesn’t have access to paid time off or long-term care benefits.
Right now, her daughter has been doing everything she can—taking time off work and helping with bills—but they’re both stretched thin. My sister could really use some support.
She needs help with basic things like house maintenance and could also use some gift cards (like Uber Eats) for the days she’s too exhausted to cook after treatment since she is alone and doesn’t have help. When I asked her if I could share her story, she broke down crying and said she feels alone and broken.
So I’m reaching out: if you feel moved to help—whether it’s a small donation, a meal, a gift card, or even just words of encouragement—it would mean the world to her and to all of us who love her.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this and for being part of her support system.
