Love built our family long before any paperwork could. From the first time I held our son, I knew he was ours — not because of combined DNA, but because of something far stronger. He is our heart walking outside of us.

Now, we’re on the journey to make that love official in the eyes of the law. As a same-sex married couple, one of us still has to go through the legal adoption process to ensure that both of us are fully and equally recognized as his parents — something every family should be able to take for granted. It’s not about titles or paperwork; it’s about protection, stability, and the promise that our son will always have two parents who can stand by him in every way.
