TURN THE EMPTY KAISER LOT INTO A PARK!
We're trying to raise a little money to print some lawn signs to put around the neighborhood for the campaign to turn the abandoned lot in front of Kaiser Permanente and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard into a much needed neighborhood park!
The property is bordered to the north by MLK Jr. Blvd, to the east by Marlton Ave., to the south by Santa Rosalia Dr., and to the west by Buckingham Rd. The empty lot is already owned by the city!
The park will provide a shady green space for neighbors to gather, a playground, a dog park and a community productive garden to provide jobs and food for those in our community who need it the most.
This is phase one of our campaign. If we get approved by the city and receive funding, we'll hold public meetings to get community input in park design. Please also Sign the Change.org Petition!
