Helping Your Community is Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Do you realize that everyday, you encounter people who must make the tough choice of either buying gas for their car so they can get to work, or feeding their children? On top of that, they must find a safe place to send their children during summer break or after school, even though there are no additional funds in their budget.

LifeSource's gives these families a hand up, not just a handout, by providing not only food, but free clothing, childcare, and adult education. In fact, our 8-week summer day camp not only provides a safe, fun, structured environment for the children of families in need, but also provides each child with 2 meals and 2 snacks every day.

At camp, we try to teach these kids to turn life's lemons into lemonade; so, after reading the story Lemonade Wars by Jacqueline Davies, the kids decided to help their community by having a lemonade war of their own. Their lemonade stands will be set up at WoodStone Pizza on south School Street in Fayetteville on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9:00 am -12;00 pm.
