I know many of you, like me, have been looking for ways to support members of our community who are most in need right now. I’m partnering with Treadwell International Community School to host a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, and I hope you’ll consider sponsoring a turkey for a family.

Treadwell’s Community Resource Center serves students and families not only at Treadwell, but also seven additional schools and the community at large. The center provides food pantry services, clothing, school supplies, laundry facilities, and helps families connect with emergency support. The need right now is significant, as you can imagine.

We are working to provide 100 families with a turkey for Thanksgiving. I’ve coordinated with Cash Saver to deliver the turkeys directly to the school on Wednesday, November 19 (the school does not have cold storage, so they’ll be given out immediately). The school staff is identifying families with the greatest need, and those families will receive a ticket for pickup that day.

Each turkey costs about $20. The goal is $2,000 to provide 100 turkeys. If we surpass that, we’ll help even more families.

Deadline: Sunday, November 16, at 5 PM

In times like these, it is imperative that we come together and support the most vulnerable members of our community. I’m grateful for any support you are able to give, and I’m grateful to be in community with all of you!
