Hi everyone. My name is Katie. I’m an ER nurse from San Diego. In response to the devastating earthquake that hit southern Turkey on February 5th, I’m joining a disaster relief team that will provide medical aid to those injured and sick. I will spend 1 week in Turkey starting February 26th. I’m going with a non-profit organization called International Medical Relief.

To join this mission, each volunteer pays a mandatory $2,000 donation that will go towards medicine and medical supplies that we will use. I will pay another $2,000 for travel fees, supplies and daily expenses.
