Just one hundred more turkeys (is all)…..
The Berkeley Police Association (BPA), provides Turkey Baskets to
those community members most in need for Thanksgiving. This year our hope is to deliver baskets to at least five hundred families in our
immediate community.
This event is made possible by way of charitable contributions and field
support from our community partners. Big shout out to DeYoe Wealth
Management, the City of Berkeley, and the Young Adult Project, for
their continual support!
Berkeley Police Department Sergeant Scott Castle spearheads the
program, according to Sgt. Castle, “We are working hard to make this
year better and more inclusive than the last. Our goal is to provide 500
baskets, each will include a turkey, all the fixings, dessert, and fresh
produce. Currently we have enough funds for four hundred turkeys and are we well on our way to achieving our goal but we need some last
minute additional funding.”
We are looking for any and all donations to be made prior to
Thanksgiving, November 27, 2019. Our tax ID number for your
charitable donations is 23-71000168.
And if you’d like to help out the day of, bright and early the day before
