The Tully Trailblazers Snowmobile Club needs your help to raise funds for the maintenance of the groomers and for the snowmobile trails. The cost of groomers including fuel and upkeep can be quite costly. We keep the cost of labor down by having club volunteers do the mechanical work, however the parts still have high costs that the club must pay for so that we can keep the groomers on the trails and grooming as much as possible. We are also continually upgrading the club equipment to help keep breakdowns to a minimum and keep things running as smoothly as possibly through the riding seasons. Keeping the trails groomed not only makes for a nice, smooth trail, but also keeps the trails safer to ride because the groomers smooth out the trails from bumps, plus the people operating the groomers can check for hazards and sometimes correct those hazards that they see right away. Or they can get a group of people together to the hazard as soon as possible to have the problem fixed so that no one gets hurt and the trail remains safe for all.
Funds are also used to maintain trails all year around. The club must pay for trails signs, markers, fencing, materials for bridges, culverts, and more. Volunteers use their own time to help maintain the trails all year including marking the trails in the fall and then taking the signs and markers down in the spring. The volunteers are not paid; however, the materials cost money and need to be replaced from time to time and bridges and culverts wear out.
Some of our usual methods of fundraising have been hampered by Covid19 so we are asking for donations in a different way this year. We appreciate any donation you can give no matter how small! Please also share this with everyone you know because the more this is shared the more help we will get.
