Hello! My name is Sally Goldstein-Elkind and I am one of the co-leads for the Boston Chapter of Run For Their Lives. Run For Their Lives is a movement that was started in CA by a group of Israelis who wanted to bring awareness to the ongoing crisis of hostages still being held by Hamas. There are currently 230 Run For Their Lives chapters around the world who meet once a week and continue to call for the hostages to be let go.

Our Boston chapter has been gathering since January 2024, and we have built an incredible community of strength and resilience through our time together.

As the world has become more threatening towards our Jewish community, it is now more important than ever that we stay vigilant and safe during these difficult times. For the past few months, we have hired "Chai Security," a Jewish family-owned security company to help us keep our community safe.

We are reaching out to our community for assistance with these security costs. With your help, not only can we keep each other safe, but we can also support a local Jewish family business. Each Sunday costs $300.00 for two security guards.

Now, we know what you are probably thinking, why not just call the Newton Police to come? The Newton Police have informed us that unless we pay for a detail ($400.00), they cannot guarantee that they can stay by the event. If they have an emergency call, they would have to leave our event to attend that call. With Chai Security, we are guaranteed that they will stay with us for the whole program, as well as they are professionals in de-escalating any type of situation.
