Our Family

This post is hard to write for many reasons. First, Gideon and I are very private about our lives save for our very close family and friends. Secondly, we need your help! And, for us, that is something difficult to ask for because we are usually the helpers and givers and very rarely the takers. So this is a very humbling experience for us. Thirdly, our babies were removed from our home for reasons I cannot discuss right now but it’s been a very unsettling, heartbreaking and scary situation for us. And, as foster parents, we don’t have much say in what outcomes we think are best for our children but we are fighting to get our babies back home with us. We were so close to adoption and our lives have become unhinged. Our 1.5 year old son has been with us since he was 3 days old; he’ll be two in June. And, I can only imagine how he feels right now because we are the only world he has ever known. My heart is broken for him. And, we want our sweet boy home! Our 4 year old daughter has been with us since she was 2.5 years old. She’s our bright, silly girl and she brings so much personality to any occasion. When you know her, you love her immensely. Lastly, unfortunately, we don’t have the entire retainer fee for our attorney to pay for legal costs and to prepare for our hearing in June. Please consider donating whatever you can and help be part of our miracle. But, if anything, pray for our babies and that they’re loved and protected wherever they are. May God bless you all!
