Gift for Gab

Gabriella was born with a rare congenital heart defect known as truncus arteriosus and a genetic disorder known as digeorge syndrome.

She had to have open heart surgery when she was only four days old; spent two weeks in the cardiac critical care unit at CHOP; and was sent home with a feeding tube and lots of restrictions. 

Despite all of the medical poking and prodding, you will never meet a happier, more spirited, engaging baby!

Our little heart warrior is not completely out of the woods. Gabriella will require at least 2 more surgeries as she grows, and will need continual on-going medical care.
