My name is Chase Springer and I am a member of the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Scout Troop 757. I am a Life scout working on getting my Eagle Scout badge. Eagle Scouts are required to plan and produce a project for a non-profit in our area. My project will be a vegetable and fruit cart for the St. Margaret's Episcopal School Lower school division. This cart, each Wednesday, will display the fruits and vegetables that the lower school students will be receiving from The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano. The Ecology Center and the SMES Lower school are working together to provide nutritious options and teach the students about healthy eating. My cart will allow students to see and pick the fruits and vegetables and allow teachers to cut and present these nutritious foods to the students.
