Emma's Fight

Hi my name is Tod,My niece Emma turned 26 on the 25th of September 2022. A week later Emma was taken into hospital with suspected blood clot… Two days later we got the diagnosis that the blood clot emma had was in fact a rare bone cancer called sarcoma that had spread to the lungs . A biopsy confirmed it to be Ewings sarcoma.

Since Emma’s diagnosis, she has undergone 7 rounds of chemotherapy. This included a 5 day stay per round in St. Vincent’s university hospital using I/E chemotherapy followed by VAC. After Emma's last scan a new tumour was found in the lung so Emma has to have surgery to remove the primary tumour in her leg followed by a high dose of radiation on the new tumour.So after 9 months of chemo a new tumour has been found. I'm taking part in the Great Dublin bike ride on 17th September. I've signed up for 60km route.To raise funds to help with cost of Emma's treatment.Any donations appreciated
