Tristan’s Long Journey to Recovery

Hi everyone, my friend Amanda Benjamin’s son, Tristan was recently in a terrible accident. My heart aches for their family during this extremely difficult time. On Sunday 9/24/2023 at 11:50 am our lives were forever changed. My daughter's son Tristan Benjamin 13 years old and his friend were hit by a car while riding a Mini Bike. Tristan sustained critical trauma to his left leg almost severing it below the knee and breaking his upper femur of the same leg. He also broke his right arm and severely dislocated it. He lost 6 pints of blood and the first day he was in surgery for 11 hours and we had no quantee they could save his leg. Since than he underwent another 4 hours of surgery yesterday 9/27/2023 to put the rod in his lower leg and will under go surgery again tomorrow 9/29/2023 to try and close the open wound. He will then have another surgery Monday 10/2/2023 as he will need skin grafts due to dying tissue. Needless to say he has an extremely long road to recovery. His Mother has not left his side from the beginning and has not been able to work nor will she be able to return to work until he has made a full recovery. As the single Mother of three with no other income it will be impossible for her to maintain her household. We ask for pryers, donations or shares anything will help as this has been devastating to our family.
