Tristan Collins' Eagle Service Project

My name is Tristan Collins and I am currently a Life Scout in Troop 157 in Round Rock, Texas. I am working on completing my Eagle Scout rank and my last requirement is to carry out an Eagle service project. My project will take place at my neighborhood park and I will be renewing the old and worn out sand volleyball court that is currently there. I will be sifting through the sand to remove any of the stick or leaves that are in the sand to try and salvage as much as I can. I will be purchasing the rest of the sand to refill and level the court. Additionally I will be replacing the old net with a new one and straightening the poles that are in place and resetting them with concrete. I will be removing any grass patches inside of the court and will be putting a new border around the sand, as there is currently no border, to prevent any grass from growing back in the court. The trees around the area need to be cut back so I will be doing that. Lastly I will be adding a couple of park benches for people to sit down surrounding the volleyball court.
