Tripp Johnson Eagle Project
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I am a Boy Scout in Troop 31 in Nashville, TN. In the last 5 years, I’ve been striving for the final rank in Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout. The biggest challenge for obtaining this rank is the service project. The project is required to benefit a nonprofit organization. The beneficiary I have chosen is named 202 Friendship House. Friendship House has served the Nashville community for over 50 years. A gateway to recovery from alcoholism, it is located in midtown Nashville and is accessible to all people for free. Friendship House is committed to continuing the longstanding tradition as a beacon of hope for those suffering from alcoholism. As a nonprofit, it manages to keep the doors open strictly from donations, grants, and help from volunteers like me.
I’ve been planning this project since June 2020. The plans have been approved by Friendship House, Troop 31 leadership, and finally by the Eagle Board of Middle Tennessee. The updated area will allow for a private, outdoor location for guests to talk, while also giving the building an inviting look. We plan to till a portion of the front yard, replacing the grass with a mulched area, and add 3 benches we will construct out of cedar. Additionally, I will replace the old walkway stones and update with new stones. Overall, the project total is estimated to be $2500. Any leftover funds will be donated to the Friendship House to use at their discretion. In order to schedule our work weekend in April, I will be accepting funds thru May 1st. Feel free to pass this along to more family or friends who feel a connection to Friendship House or BSA.
Thank you for your consideration to support my project for this worthy organization, 202 Friendship House. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding my project, the beneficiary, or anything Boy Scout-related. I’d be happy to tell you more about it.
Sincerely,
Tripp Johnson
