Help the Barge Family Prepare for TRIPLE the Love!
Well friends… the rumors are true: we’re having triplets. Yes—THREE BABIES. At once. On purpose. (Okay, not exactly on purpose, but here we are!)
As we get closer to welcoming these sweet little miracles, we've had so many wonderful people ask us: “What can we do to help?”
First of all, just asking means the world. Truly.
Second of all... this GoFundMe is what would help the most right now. ❤️
Here's What’s Going On:
• Melissa will be cutting her work hours in half to stay home part time with the squad. We figured it would be better for our sanity (and the babies') if we stay home with them by dividing and conquering!
• Daycare? HA! We looked into it and crunched the numbers for 3 infants. Then we gently closed the door on that idea and whispered, “never mind.” (We lose less money with Melissa cutting her hours in half to accommodate them being home).
• NICU Time: While we’re praying for a smooth delivery and Christy holding these babies in as long as possible, there’s a real chance of a lengthy NICU stay for the babies. We’re preparing ourselves emotionally, logistically, and financially.
• Diapers + Formula = $$$ We’re not even being dramatic. The triplets could go through 30+ diapers per day. And formula? Let’s just say we might have to choose between feeding them or sending them to college.
• Still Gathering Baby Supplies: We’ve got a few essential baby items to track down. Apparently three of just about everything doesn’t magically appear. (Still waiting on our Amazon stork order to arrive…)
Why We're Not Doing a Shower
Between full-time work, 1–2 doctor’s appointments a week (that will soon turn to 2-3), and trying to wrap our heads around what’s about to happen (again… triplets ), we’ve decided to skip the traditional baby shower.
We’re focusing our energy on:
• Soaking up these last moments with Haisley before our attention is divided by 4 kids under 3!
• Getting the house ready for a very busy, very baby-filled future
• Keeping our sanity (fingers crossed on that one) and some rest when life presents the opportunity now… because it may never again haha!
We Are So Grateful
Even though this whole thing feels a little overwhelming at times (okay, a lot), we feel so incredibly blessed to have the support of our family and friends. Every kind word, offer to help, and thoughtful gesture reminds us that we’re not doing this alone.
We’re beyond excited to meet these three little blessings. And we know with your help—emotionally, financially, or by just being there—we’ll be able to give them a beautiful start to life.
