Trevor and Christopher Plan to Start a Family

For those of you that don't know us, we recently tied the knot! Trevor serves active duty in the Navy and Christopher works in real estate in Charleston, SC. Over the last couple of weeks since our wedding, a lot of friends and family have been asking us if we have a wedding registry, or if we need anything for our home. At this stage in our lives, neither of us really need anything in particular. However, that question has gotten us thinking about what our family will look like in the future and we have come up with a way for you to show your support.
The world is certainly full of chaos at this moment however we aren’t going to let that stop us from having the family we want. It’s our dream to have a child that we can raise in a home full of love, joy, and support. We hope to instill good values in our future child of kindness and love and to hopefully help foster in them the desire to leave the world a better place.
Obviously for a same-sex couple, having a baby doesn’t just happen overnight, or accidentally. It takes many years of planning, a supportive team of friends and family, and a decent amount of money. Surrogacy can cost upwards of $100,000.00 after attorney fees, medical expenses, and surrogate aid.
Which brings us back to the beginning of this post, are we registered anywhere, or do we need anything for our home? The short answer is no, we don’t need any material ‘things’ at this given moment. However, we do need your help! We have chosen surrogacy and the best gift you could ever give to us is the gift of life. In order to do that, we are on a mission to work hard, save and also raise money to cover the substantial costs of surrogacy.
