This GoFundMe if for Trevor and Abbie McGinty and their growing family. Just four weeks ago Trevor and Abbie got an exciting yet surprising phone call from Trevor's very close friend. who was also one of Trevor's former firefighter/paramedic partners. This past spring, they were having a conversation about how their families were doing. In conversation Trevor told his friend about their family’s desire to adopt again. Due to the extreme cost of adoption, their desire to adopt was put on hold. Sometime after the conversation Trevor’s friend found out that his ex-wife, who has had multiple sad and unfortunate circumstances over multiple years, was currently incarcerated and pregnant. Her request was to have her daughter placed with another family through adoption. Trevor’s friend along with her mother approached Trevor and Abbie asking them if they would be interested in adopting her. Trevor and Abbie have made all the arrangements possible to make this adoption work. The only hang up is cost. With only four weeks’ notice, they have not had time to earn the money to cover this adoption. There are still financial strains from their previous adoption. Adoption fees, the cost of travel, possible medical expenses, and legal fees are unfortunately astronomical. Please help this beautiful addition to their family become a reality, while supporting the birth mother and her family with this difficult decision.
