Trent Cohalan & Shelley McCormack are performing in Thomas Bros Wagga Wagga Takes 2 in April 2022, raising funds for BrAshA-T, in support of Wagga siblings Charlie and Zara Millar.
Charlie and Zara are 2 of 40 children in Australia diagnosed with Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T).
A-T is a progressive condition that worsens with time. It causes degeneration of the cerebellum in the brain, which means children who were once able to walk are confined to a wheelchair by the age of 10. A-T also weakens the immune system, causing respiratory infections. With the added complication of being unable to repair damaged DNA, children with A-T have a high incidence of cancer, which is sadly often fatal. Unfortunately, A-T sufferers have a limited life expectancy as there is currently no cure.
BrAshA-T is Australia’s only not for profit charitable organisation funding vital research into A-T.
Any donations received will go a long way to giving hope to families for a treatment and ultimately, a cure.
