Dear Friends,
In 2023 a report from The Institute for Fiscal Studies showed that UK social mobility is at its worst in over 50 years. It found stark disparities in earnings based on geography and ethnicity.
Having moved to the UK in 2001 I have had first hand experience of these problems. Now in a position and having a platform for change, I have embarked on a journey to help tackle some of these problems.
I helped setup and trustee to two third sector organisations - Catalyst Education Programme (CEP) and Afro Caribbean Cricket (ACE). In their own way, both organisations predominantly focus on social mobility and helping tackle some of the challenges.
However running these organisations with limited resources is a massive hurdle. Hence why I am participating in this year’s London Marathon to help raise funds to support both organisations that I so dearly love.
Some of my more notable charitable endeavours include:
- Trekking Machu Picchu and the Salkantay Pass in Peru (95km over four days).
- The Caledonian Challenge (100km in 24hrs the Scottish Highlands).
- 24hr badminton marathon with the army
- Various Charity cricket matches
Our nation is facing a social mobility challenge, one which both of our organisations are looking to solve. We need your help to make our efforts go further.
Your help is crucial to our efforts.
We’d love it if you could make a donation to help us achieve our mission.
Thank you in advance for your contribution. Your donation will go towards all three organisations.
