Trekking for Troops - 2025

This September, the Sigma Nu brothers of Davis, CA will be backpacking 100 miles of the John Muir Trail from Bishop to the summit of Mt. Whitney. Our annual Trekking for the Troops philanthropy symbolizes the hardships many individuals face across the globe due to conflict, climate disasters, and poverty. After the incredible support we received last year, we’re excited to continue this powerful tradition.

This year, we’re proud to partner with Mercy Corps, a global humanitarian organization working in over 40 countries to help people survive crisis, recover, and build better lives. All proceeds from this year’s trek will go directly toward Mercy Corps’ efforts to deliver food, clean water, emergency aid, and long-term solutions to communities in need.

Trekking is one of several philanthropic events our Davis chapter organizes each year. It’s a meaningful way for us to live out Sigma Nu’s values of love and honor while striving to make a real-world impact.
