TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP FOR SOLE BAY CARE FUND

In the autumn of 2022, James Scott will begin a 3 week trek through the Nepal Himalaya to reach Everest Base Camp. Starting his journey in the Khumbu region, his walk will take him through the stunning Gokyo valley to Kala Patthar and Base Camp at over 5,500m. Walking for up to 8 hours a day he will have to endure both fatigue and altitude sickness. He is hoping to raise money for a great local cause, Sole Bay Care Fund, a community charity that cares for patients, providing support and resources not routinely funded by the NHS or Social Services, specialising in supporting older people, palliative care and those living with dementia.

His walk is in memory of his partner Lisa's mum, Pat Brown who died of breast cancer aged 53.
