Why Hope Loves Company?

When I was diagnosed, doctors told Dianne and I to plan for 3 to 5 years. To cover their bases, they noted "some don't last a year. Only 5% make it 10 years." We thought, "How do you explain that to a 7 and 10-yr-old?"

Hope Loves Company is a 501 (c)(3) that provides resources and emotional support to children who have or had a loved one with ALS. Every contribution of $10, $25, $50 or $100 makes an impact. $500 can send a kid to Camp HLC! All are tax-deductible.

I'm nearing the finish line. Today, my legacy includes two daughters, one wife and 1,000 mildly inappropriate Facebook jokes... Maybe I can be remembered for this too (please, please)?
