Treatment for Sofie’s burns




Hello Family and Friends,

As many of you already know, my sister’s four year old daughter Sofie was involved in a horrific fire accident in April. Sofie’s dress caught on fire from a fire pit they used a day before. 

She spent over 3 weeks in an ICU. Her whole chest, stomach, arms and portions of leg received 3rd degree burns and required skin graft surgery. The road to recovery is long and all the physical therapy and massages are not covered by their insurance.

Next month Sofie will be going through treatments that are also not covered by insurance, and they cost a lot... ($7k for each procedure)... These procedures will help with nerve damage, the intense itching that she constantly experiences, the inflammation and it will speed up the recovery process of skin.

The expenses they are incurring are a lot higher than this amount (with co-payments, deductibles, time of work, and etc) but if these immediate treatments will be covered it will help their family tremendously!
