Alexander's Journey and Make his wishes come true.

On July 29,2019 a beautiful baby was brought into this world his name is Alexander Leonidas Arocho. He was born with beautiful brown eyes and soft black hair but on this day with a lot of joy and happiness was also the day where the journey began. His mother Alyssa Leombruno and his father Luis Arocho followed by his wonderful Big Brother Nathaniel Leonardo Arocho who is 3 years older had to be strong for little Alexander.

Three months prior Alexander was introduced into this world his parents found out his heart was not in good health. But they were not going to give up and do everything in their power to make sure Alexander gets the best care that he needed. When Alexander was born further testing were done and they found out Alexander was going to be born with a Double Outlet Right Ventricular this is when both aorta and pulmonary artery originate from the right ventricle and not from the left ventricle. Three days after Alexander was born doctors and surgeons came up with a plan to fix his heart, they warned the parents of the possible outcomes what could happen due to operating on a heart so small and young it is like operating on butter. The day has come August 6, 2019, surgery day just eight days after being introduced into this world the time came as they took Alexander for surgery his mother and father gave him love and kisses and said a prayer knowing he is in God's hands now. As Alexanders parents waited hopeful but scared and praying for the best they get a notification after six long hours. Alexander has made it through surgery oh were his parents jumping from joy but knew this was just the beginning to a long journey and had to be strong for Alexander. The following day Alexander went for a heart checkup and his parents were told news that no one wanted to hear. Alexander's heart had a small leak and would have to go back into surgery. The following day has come August 8th, 2019, as they took Alexander once again his mother and father were praying this will be the last surgery for Alexander.

As his parents waited for the results and to see Alexander again to give him love and support the surgeons walked out and told them that they were able to stop the leak but Alexander is going to be needing a heart transplant and has to be moved to a better heart hospital the news no parent wanted to hear. As they relocate Alexander, he gets his first class helicopter ride to UF Shands hospital as his family drives an hour and a half to be there with Alexander and wait by his side till, he gets his new heart. A long time waiting 317 days of ups and downs joyfulness and happiness Alexander has a match and a donor and had to go into surgery one last time. As he is rolled into surgery his Big Brother showers him with kisses and his mother and father holding hugging and kissing him not knowing what the outcome would be as they prayed for the best. 10 hours in surgery lots of prayers and support Alexander Leonidas Arocho has made it through surgery and everything went well. Now it's time for him to rest and begin healing. Within two months Alexander was on his way home with his loving family that never gave up on him Alexander seen outside for the first time and smiled.

A wonderful five year later Alexander is blooming he is in Arbor Ridge K-8. He is in kindergarten with an awesome staff that adores him and just can't wait to go to school. On April 21,2025, Alexander is having liver issues and has to go through extensive testing these issues can start the domino effect which can result in liver or kidney failure. Alexanders family is asking for help for their travels and any needs for Alexander. They also would like to take him to places that he loves like camping, hiking, outdoor adventures as every day is a precious gift.
