Thurgood Family

On January 18, 2022, Travis Thurgood passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. He had no signs of sickness and was a completely healthy 45-year-old. In an instant, six children lost their father and a wife of 23 years lost her husband. Travis was in every sense of the word a Christian. Whether in his community, church, or family, he never hesitated to serve anyone in need.

My team decided we would do whatever we could to positively impact this family. Three of Travis' teenage children have been using makeshift bedrooms in their unfinished/partially finished basement. We decided to do a complete basement remodel including bedrooms, a bathroom, play area, living area, new furnace, and AC and we'll also build out a new mudroom, kitchen pantry, and do some much-needed yard clean-up. Once complete we'll fully furnish the basement living area and play area. This project is well on its way and I'll post a video to the group once finished.

The cost of the project is $56,000. While ~$25,000 has been raised, $31,000 remains. If any of you would like to contribute this family will appreciate you forever. However, I don't want anyone to feel an ounce of pressure, I know many of you donate your precious time and money to other causes and I love you for it. God bless!
