Who Are We?

The UK Black Business Show (UKBBS) has been created to inspire and connect black business owners and professionals working in various industries. To celebrate UK Black History Month, the UKBBS hosts an annual conference and business exhibition in London attracting 3000 attendees. The show highlights the achievements and contributions black businesses have made to the economy. Delegates gain cutting-edge insight and advice on entrepreneurship, leadership, corporate development and cultural development from some of the UK’s leading black business owners and professionals.

From its humble beginnings in October 2017, the UKBBS has grown into the largest conference in Europe dedicated to promoting black businesses, owners and professionals. The show attracts over 3000 attendees, the most innovative black speakers from industry and a range of businesses that are contributing to the UK economy and beyond.

We offer a vast array of business and professional content, which provides our conference delegates with inspiration and practical skills development. This content offering is coupled with dynamic networking opportunities and as such the UKBBS has continued to grow from strength to strength.

Our commitment to the black community means that we are passionate about providing solutions to challenges faced by our community.

The Travel for Teens Campaign

Following a significant drop in income from travel fares due to the coronavirus pandemic, TfL announced that free travel for under-18s will also be temporarily suspended. Unfortunately for some the suspension of free travel for under-18s will result in increased financial pressure on disadvantaged families.

With little guidance from the government on what the new travel arrangements will be, students from low-income backgrounds are particularly vulnerable and are now burdened with financing their travel to school. We are determined to ensure that despite this major change to student travel the education
of black students is not negatively impacted.

As schools begin to reopen we are passionate about ensuring black students requiring financial support are given access to sponsored travel cards. In order to do that, we’re appealing to your generosity. We are calling on both businesses and individuals to donate towards the UKBBS’ Travel for Teens campaign and
help alleviate the pressure many low income families may be experiencing in these uncertain times.

A one-off donation will go towards supporting black students from disadvantaged
backgrounds funding their travel to and from school through this unprecedented crisis.

Through your donation, black students all across London will know that they are not alone. By supporting the UKBBS Travel for Teens, you’ll not only be helping the students, but also will be supporting their families.
