Hello to all of my friends, family, and followers

My name is Daniel George Esau and I am reaching out with deep gratitude and humility to ask for your help. My mother , who lives in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, is living with Alzheimer’s ( past 8 years), and her health has reached a point where time is precious. My Twin brother and his family have been her devoted caregiver for the past eight years, and now I need to go home to support both of them during this difficult transition.I currently live in Vancouver, where I’m a full-time student in Indigenous Justice Studies and also training with the Indigenous Perspectives Society to become a Gladue writer. Alongside my studies, I remain active in my recovery community — I’ve been sober for 18 months and continue to advocate for others on their healing journeys. Balancing these commitments has been meaningful but also financially challenging, which is why I’m asking for help.

The funds raised will go toward:A round-trip flight from Vancouver to Saskatoon

A car rental to travel to and from Meadow Lake to get around while I’m there

And food and basic provisions during my stay- (which is less important )

My goal is to spend a few weeks with my mom as she transitions into a care home — to be fully present with her and spend as much time with her as I can , and to help my brother through this emotional change. I intend on doing my continued studies through online from Saskatchewan, while I am with her .

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to that moment.

This is something that has been weighing heavily on my heart for some time now, that I don't talk about alot, and I need to make this trip soon.
