Travel funds to help me see my mom

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but the past year my mom has been battling leukemia, and it's been an incredibly difficult journey for her and for all of us who love her. Earlier today, I received devastating news that my mom is in critical condition in Tahiti. I’m heartbroken, scared, and desperate to be with her — but I don’t have the means to get there on my own.

I’m trying to raise $1,500 to travel to Tahiti and be by her side, even if it’s just to say goodbye. It hurts more than I can explain to think I might not get the chance to hold her hand, see her face, or tell her how much I love her one last time.

It’s incredibly hard and humbling to ask for help like this. I feel ashamed and in so sorry for ever having to ask for help. If you’re able to give anything — truly anything — it would mean the world to me. Even just sharing this would help more than you know.
