Travel and Volunteering - Uganda 2025

Hello, my name is Maya. In June I will be one of a group of students from Exeter College travelling to Uganda, East Africa with Msafiri Tours.

Msafiri Tours is a company that provides a travel experience, blended with volunteering and cultural education. It highlights the issues Uganda faces, including poverty, inadequate healthcare and limited access to education creating a tourism that supports the areas visited.

This trip will give me the opportunity to volunteer to help alleviate challenges faced by the local community which I will be visiting by creating sustainable, long term changes that will continue to serve the community after we leave. As well as the volunteering opportunity I know I will be gaining invaluable cultural knowledge and experiencing the country and its wildlife.

I am hoping to raise enough funds to support my travel, with any additional funds to be used to support local areas visited, including the sustainable community project where we will be volunteering.

This page will be for both personal one-off donations, as well as for money from specific fundraising events.
