In Oct we were excited to learn that Kendra and Isaiah were expecting twins. Kendra was experiencing a harder than normal pregnancy and Chadron referred them to Scottsbluff (SB). SB doctors were not entirely sure what was going on but knew something was very wrong and referred them to specialist in Denver. Shortly thereafter we learned that twin A had Fetal growth restriction due to SUA meaning that she only has one artery in her umbilical cord restricting her blood and nutrient flow. In November SB doctors were partnered with the specialist in Denver and appointments were moved to twice a week. To save on expenses Kendra and Isaiah began the process of moving to SB to be closer to the doctors and care. This added some very unexpected expenses in gas, wear and tear on the family car, and loss of one income. Jan 5th Kendra was admitted as a long term patient to monitor the girls more closely and be ready if early delivery was necessary. Expenses on one income to maintain the house expenses and gas for Isaiah to visit Kendra in Denver has proven to be overwhelming to say the least. Jan we discovered the tires on the family car are dangerously worn and they need to replace the tires immediately. In February we found out the house they were living in is being sold and they need to find a new home to live in meaning rent, deposits, and finding a new place on very short notice. Isaiah just started a new job but covering the tires, and expenses is proving to be tough. The babies will be born Feb 27th and immediately go to NICU meaning lots more driving to visit, so gas and tires are a must, as well as getting them into a new place, so babies have a home to come home to. While the babies are in NICU Kendra will be staying in the Ronald McDonald house which is 1/2 mile away from where babies are, meaning either a taxi to go see them or the family car stays with Kendra and we need to figure out how to get Isaiah to work and to Denver to see babies and Kendra. I am hoping we can get them some extra funds to help relieve some of the stresses and burdens so the family can bond and grow without so much stress. Let's help this amazing new little family find a more stable start.
