Trauma-Healing, and Legal support for Refugees
Donation protected
Refugee mothers from Central America are stranded with us in need of trauma-therapy, legal support to help reunite their families, and housing. We are creating a 3-month program that will provide these mothers with the therapy, safety, and support they need while investing in them as lay-trauma therapists for the communities where they will settle.
The strength of these women is stunning--they just need a time of support and some tools to transform the dark world around them.
Money will be used for housing (tiny-home cottages), the legal costs for their family members still in detention and their own asylum cases, their therapy, and their training.
We are calling our program "Semillas"--seeds--because these women will be sowing hope for their families and the neighborhoods where they will put down their long-term roots.
