Transparent Aid for Kentucky's Tornado Victims

Hey everybody, my name is Bryce Sargent and I’m about an hour away from where the violent and fatal tornado ripped through primarily Somerset and London, KY. Thousands of people have been affected by this storm and I can’t sit idly by while everyone else goes and helps. God has laid it on my heart to go and be a servant to my neighbors and that’s what I’m going to do with your help. Lives have been lost, homes destroyed and businesses torn apart. I know that in times like this there may be people out there who try to take advantage of these situations and that people may be wary of how they should contribute their funds. I set up this GoFundMe under the “yourself” option to avoid having someone else handle the funds. EVERY dollar collected will go directly to much needed supplies and supporting these folks in any way they might need it. Not through a third party that will take some of the contributions to pay for their needs. Not that there’s anything wrong with those organizations, I’m just trying to cut out the middle man because I want my contributions to make direct impacts when I make a donation somewhere. I will be completely transparent with how your contributions are spent by providing receipts on my social media accounts or if there’s a way to post them here, I will do that. I set a pretty hefty goal, but if there’s one thing I know about Kentuckians it’s that we’re resilient and we come together when disaster strikes to help one another. It’s just 10 dollars from 1,000 of my friends and yours. The internet does some crazy things so let’s make this happen! If you can’t contribute that’s totally fine, I understand. Please don’t. What I do ask of you is to share this with the people around you. A couple clicks with your thumb is completely free and it helps just as much. I’m planning on making a trip down there on Tuesday, May 20th so let’s try to get that number as high as we can! I’m hopeful that more is raised after Tuesday so that I can make several trips down there to help out with the clean up as well.
