Tivoli Gardens, a western Kingston community known for its history of violence and trauma, is undergoing a transformation with the help of a group of young men and their vision to use art as therapy. Oneil Coke, Micah Tafari, and Lyfechild, along with their friends who have been doing similar works in the fields of community building and sustainable development have initiated the Paint the City project to not only heal the residents but also to beautify the inner city.

In conclusion,Healing Thoughts Through arts project is more than just a beautification effort in Tivoli Gardens. It is a symbol of hope and healing for the residents, who are using art as therapy to overcome their grief and to project a positive outlook on their inner city. The project is a testament to the power of art to bring communities together and to create a brighter future.

We have decided to partner with Meeting of Styles to welcome 100 international artists into our community to make a creative contribution. This will bring us closer to a total transformation of the inner city as we’ll promote unity across the international community. Your donations will assist with the purchase of paint, paint supplies, accommodations for artists, scaffolding and cranes for large buildings and other equipment needed to facilitate this phase of the project.
