Hi, we're your neighbors in Tahoe City.

California 89 is spearheading a grassroots community effort to transform the vacant lot at 255 North Lake Blvd into a vibrant, outdoor gathering space for everyone.

We're calling it The TC Yard.

Inspired by The Eddy in Reno, The TC Yard will be a neighbor built, outdoor hub designed for all ages, all seasons, and the full Tahoe community. Think food trucks, lawn games, live music, shade structures, string lights, and a place where locals actually hang out together.

Our first step is a community cleanup day. Thursday, May 14th at 7:00 AM at 255 North Lake Blvd. We're rallying neighbors, local businesses, and anyone who loves this town to come out, roll up their sleeves, and help us turn this chain-link-fenced vacant lot into something special.

Here's what your donation goes toward:

Lot cleanup, grading & basic landscaping

Tables, chairs & shade structures

String lighting & signage

Lawn games: cornhole, bocce, horseshoes & more

Please note: The TC Yard is a temporary activation of this space. The lot is privately owned and a hotel project is currently slated for Summer of 2027 — so we're making the most of it while we have it, and building community while we do.
