The Drop-In Center & Resources has a vision: to transform a 34,000-square-foot building in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, into a safe and welcoming community resource center for individuals and families who need help, hope, and an opportunity to move forward.

We are asking our community, local businesses, organizations, churches, and supporters everywhere to help us make this vision a reality.

Our goal is bigger than renovating a building. We are building a place where lives can be changed.

The Drop-In Center & Resources is dedicated to helping individuals experiencing homelessness, families struggling to meet basic needs, individuals working toward recovery, and members of our community who simply need someone to help connect them with the right resources.

What We Want to Provide

With 34,000 square feet of space, our goal is to create a facility where people can come through one door and have access to multiple forms of assistance, including:

Homeless shelter services

Hot meals and community feeding

Clothing and hygiene supplies

AA and NA meetings

Substance-use recovery resources

IOP services and referrals

Mental-health resources and referrals

Assistance obtaining IDs and birth certificates

Medicaid and Medicare assistance

SNAP/food stamp assistance

Social Security resource assistance

Housing resources

Job-readiness and employment resources

Literacy and life-skills support

Case management and community referrals

Family and community programs

Wellness resources

Laundry and hygiene services

We want this building to become a place where someone can walk in feeling like they have nowhere else to turn and walk out knowing that someone cares and help is available.
