Transform Maasai Girls’ Lives

Hi.

With so many causes worthy of assistance, I sometimes struggle deciding where to focus time, energy and financial assistance.

BUT … empowering young girls who have faced unimaginable hardship is a very easy decision for me.

I am honored to be spending time this summer with the Masai Development Project (MDP) whose mission is to offer the Maasai people culturally sensitive solutions to succeed and to enrich the lives of future generations through education and advocacy.

My personal focus is to bring awareness and resources to the young Maasai girls who have very few rights and are often forced to endure early marriage, female genital mutilation and discriminatory educational opportunities.

The MDP transforms lives beyond handouts and that resonates with my belief that when we provide others with skills, education, community AND hope, we open doors to endless possibilities.
