Hello, my name is W. Benard, is a volunteer dedicated to saving the lives of the homeless and street children under an orphanage center in Namutumba in the Eastern Region of Uganda.

I started my volunteer work in 2019 after witnessing so many children who suffer and die on the streets. I wanted to give them a home, a family, and a future. I wanted to show them the love and hope.

Since then, the orphanage has grown to accommodate over 55 children, ranging from infants to teenagers. We have a dedicated team of staff who work hard to provide the children with basic needs, such as food, clothing, health care, and security. We also offer them educational opportunities, such as formal schooling and life skills. We also organize recreational activities such as sports, games, music, and art. We aim to nurture the children's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

However, running an orphanage is not easy. We face many challenges and difficulties every day. We struggle to meet the increasing demand for our services, as more and more children need our help. We struggle to cope with the rising costs of living and operating expenses. We struggle to secure enough funding and donations to sustain our work.
