Cordova has never had a public mural and I think it’s time we change that.

For years, I’ve seen other towns and cities turn blank walls into vibrant works of art that become local landmarks. Murals give a community color, personality, and something we can point to with pride. I want that for Cordova.

We’ve already identified a few potential wall locations, and with the community’s help, we can make one of them come to life. This isn’t about one person funding a project, it’s about all of us chipping in to create something that represents our home.

The funds raised will go toward:

• Artist fees and design work

• Paint, materials, and protective coating

• Wall preparation and equipment rental

• Any necessary permits or insurance

Our starting goal is $2,000. If the final design and location cost less, extra funds will go toward future community art projects. If costs run higher, we’ll share updates and work together to meet the goal.

Cordova deserves a splash of color and creativity. Let’s make this happen together and create something future generations will enjoy.
