HAVEN HOUSE 10,000$
Last year Trans YOUniting and Proud Haven collaborated to open Haven House, a short-term emergency shelter centered on Trans GNC BIPOC youth and young adults aged 18 to 30. 10,000 dollars will go to securing Haven House for the following year.

Haven House opened in November of 2021 and has sheltered 8 trans and gender non-conforming folx as of the beginning of April. We accept Trans and GNC individuals at risk of homelessness and/ or dangerous living situations. Our services focus on the most vulnerable members of our community and center Black and Indigenous Trans People of Color. Haven House also delivers monthly programming focusing on life skills to help our residents transition into stable living circumstances.

MUTUAL AID STIPENDS 10,000$
Trans Youniting has redistributed over 40,000 dollars directly into the community in the past two years. 10,000 of the fund will go to our mutual aid efforts. We have delivered more than 500 stipends to community members in the past year. These stipends are used for the following.

Housing Crisis Stipends (Money given to Trans People to secure and retain housing).

Emergency Food Assistance (Stipends given to allow Trans Lives to purchase food and stock food that we directly distribute).

Safe Transportation Help (T.Y. Volunteers, Bus Cards, and Uber's/Lyfts helping Trans Lives in need. These include transport to doctor appointments, rehab, court hearings, work and out of dangerous circumstances)

Emergency Supplies and Basic Necessities (Supplies for unhoused trans people, necessities for Trans people who have lost their possessions, clothes for job interviews. Etc).

AMARI LEI FUND 10,000$

Amari Lei was murdered on New Years 2022 in Wilkinsburg. Amari was a 19 year old Black Trans Girl who was a part of Pittsburgh Tran's Community. Amari was a life long dancer and a beloved coach for the Lady Diamonds Project, a hip-hop and majorette team. Amari was a vibrant soul and much loved by her family and community.

The Amari Lei fund aims to assist Trans people who died, to be buried with dignity. This fund also celebrates trans life and offers grants to help Trans and Gender Non Conforming people to pursue further education.

We give up to 1,500$ for funeral costs and 1,500$ for grants for books and tuition.
