Hi, my name is Adrian, many of you know me as Door. I'm currently fundraising for some major home repairs (primarily a new roof) for my home.

I am a transgender single parent of a disabled 11yo. We moved to Minnesota and bought the house in June 2025, after fleeing Texas. Since buying the house, I've helped 6 other trans people flee their conservative states by offering my home as a place to stay as they got settled.

Unfortunately some major plumbing problems were missed on inspection, and between that and my deteriorating roof, it keeps raining inside.

It's been quite the year. On top of a leaky house and a full time job, I got involved supporting my neighbors during Operation Metro Surge and have been helping neighbors ever since since.

I was able to pay for the first couple of plumbing repairs, but I'm struggling to keep up with the cost of the remaining repairs on top of the costs of my child's medical needs while we're on the (unbelievably long) waiting list to have him assessed as disabled by the state.

Fortunately, the plumbing is fixed, and some handy neighbors are going help me do inside repairs, but my roof still needs replacing before this house can feel like a safe home.

I've fundraised over half of the cost of a new roof with the help of my local community and I need help with the final stretch. I hope you're able to help so my child and I have a safe home and I can continue to offer a safe landing place for trans refugees.
