IT'S PIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZA TIME AGAIN!

Time for the 9th annual Trans Pizza Day!!!!

ABOUT TRANS PIZZA DAY: I've been connecting trans folks with free yummy pizza every year on Trans Day of Remembrance since 2017. I started doing this after I was gifted a pizza from a stranger for TDOR during a particularly hard year in 2016. It really helped me.

Since 2018, together, we have sent hundreds and hundreds of pizzas (thousands?) .... pizzas that have helped so many people! Over the years, YOU have helped so many trans folks get support, some food security and connection. Last year we funded 350 trans pizzas and also supported a Black trans community dinner in Alberta, a trans pride BBQ in Ontario and a trans suburban community dinner in Scarborough. Community is incredible and together we have kept us/trans folks safe(r) and fed and connected during TDOR, a day that can be so isolating and hard.

I WANT TO EAT PIZZA: Heres what to do

VISIT A PIZZERIA IN YOUR TOWN AND GIVE THE PIZZA PASSWORD:

We will send pizza money in advance to the safe(r) pizza places we’ve crowd sourced who have agreed to participate. They will each have a certain number of pizzas they can give out. We have spent much of 2026 finding safe(r) pizza places in every province in "Canada" and will have a list of participating pizzerias for you soon.

GET YOUR PIZZA PASSWORD - On Trans Pizza Day on November 20, you can email us and get the 2026 pizza password to give to your local pizzeria to get your free pizza. Just VISIT A PIZZERIA from the trusted list of places and give them the pizza password.

Voila! Up to $40 CAD of pizza for you! Please do not share this password publicly in order to keep community safe.

NOTE: IN CASE THE PIZZA PLACES WHERE YOU LIVE ARE NOT SAFE - If you live somewhere without a safe or trusted pizza place, we have 50 spaces available for people to claim cash pizza funds and we will send you an e-transfer (CANADA ONLY) to get food in a safer way. We will send out $40 CAD per person to 50 trans folks who sign up via an anonymous email form on a secure server. This form will be posted on November 20.

DONATE TO AND PROMOTE THE GOFUNDME - This gofundme aims to raise $14,000, which is $40 CAD per person x 350 pizzas.

DONATE: Send enough for a pizza or two, or for some dipping sauce or soda! Let’s send send some Za !

SHARE: the gofundme and help us get the word out!!! Post it on your social media, your LinkedIn, on your work intranet! Send it to your family and kin, share it on your neighbourhood facebook group. Let other people know how to donate to the pizza day fundraiser. Share the gofundme widely!!!

THANK YOU for donating to send some pizza love, this year especially. Transphobia has ramped up, and these are dangerous times. Yet we persist, we resist, we build community and we make sure we are all cared for.

Our trans kin deserve love, care, justice, and our solidarity and rage. Trans people are sacred beautiful beings and we deserve freedom and to liveeeeeee! We should all get to live long enough to become elders. We should all get to move our bodies and play any sport we want to play. We should all get to use public bathrooms to relieve ourselves when we have to use the toilet. We should all get to be free. We are all inherently valuable. And we all deserve cheesy saucey goodness in a week of reminders about the challenges we are facing. Remember: We got this, and WE KEEP US SAFE!

Lets keep our trans kin feeling loved and cared for, and importantly, lets keep them safe!

We are going to keep building community in the face of transphobia and will keep finding ways for us all to get and stay connected to community. Everyone still gets to send pizza love and everyone still gets pizza! And we are building community along the way.
