Train 1,500 Metro-Detroit Women How To Be Safe

Hi, my name is Rick Ector. I run an organization known as Legally Armed In Detroit. Every year, we conduct a free community service project for women. We teach them basic personal protection skills. This year's goal is to empower 1,500 ladies with basic personal protection skills.

Our program is now in its eleventh year. We have trained over 7,000 women how to protect themselves, their families, and their homes. We accomplish this mission by giving women a free safety briefing and a free shooting lesson at a gun range. The program is 100 percent free for the women participants.

This program has received national recognition. It was even featured on the "Fox and Friends" national TV Show.

This program is free for the women participants. The program pays for the safety equipment, all rental fees, supplies, and instruction.

The Detroit area is a very tough area to live. This program exists to educate and empower ladies with safety training.
