Introduction
Trauma Resuce Aid (TRAID) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established on February 20, 2024 and registered in Uganda, with a core humanitarian mission to assist and support refugees, communities, and war survivors in recovering from traumatic experiences of armed conflict and ethnic cleansing and in rebuilding their lives.

Background
Ongoing war has inflicted deep wounds on individuals’ families, communities, and refugees especially women and children, resulting in widespread trauma due to experiences such as human rights violations, sexual abuse, torture, loss of loved ones, displacement, and destruction of property.

Problem Statement
The war has had a devastating impact on the mental and emotional well-being of many people. Families, individuals and communities are struggling to cope with the effects of traumatic experience, which has manifested in various ways such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and disharmony among communities. There is a critical need for trauma recovery services to help these individuals heal and rebuild their lives and communities through peacebuilding and reconciliation.

Mission
TRAID aims is to provide counseling services, training services, advocacy campaign services, peacebuilding, and reconciliation training to help these communities, refugees, and survivors to recover, reconcile, and rebuild their lives.

Vision
TRAID envisions a nation where individuals and communities affected by trauma have access to comprehensive support systems that enable them to heal, thrive, and contribute positively to society.

Your Contribution
If our mission of trauma healing and peacebuilding resonates with you, would you consider contributing to our initial fundraiser to support our organization's early programming?
