Tragic and Devastating Passing of a Mother

Help Sophie and Robert Rebuild Their Lives After A Tragic Loss of Their Mom 

Hi everyone, my best friend from College and her brother (Sophie and Robert) from Alliston, Ontario, are facing an unimaginable tragedy. These two young adults are on the hunt for a place to live. As financial struggles have made incredible barriers. Sophie is also trying to gather money for her final year of college in September. 

On June 11, 2024, Sophie and Robert’s mom, Helen, became overwhelmed by the unbearable stress of financial hardship and took her own life. The unbearable stress of trying to pay her mortgage and bills lead to Helen's unexpected death. Sophie and Robert are now alone to grieve and navigate life without the support of parents or grandparents.

These two siblings are now left to pick up the pieces, find an apartment to live together, and continue Sophie’s education amidst this devastating loss.
